We are getting ready for our big summer adventure, packing, cleaning, etc. All the energy always sparks my creative side and causes me to dive into a project or two. All the time that I spend on these things (like this blog for example!) I should really be putting into cleaning our house and doing laundry to ensure that we're ready to leave on time. Oh well, it's kind of what keeps me going I guess. Our anniversary was yesterday (8 years!!) and Mark got me a book on photography. I have a new camera that I saved up and bought this last winter and I've been experimenting with it ever since. For someone who really knows nothing about how to take a picture besides pushing the trigger button it's definatly my challenge for this year! I feel like I'm ready, I'm at a place in my life where some of my hard drive is freed up to take in this knowledge. Of course it's a slow process and my slow brain doesn't like to try to understand all that jargen. We'll see how long it lasts. Part of my enthusiasm comes from being way too frugal (cheap?) to have a photographer take pictures of my own kids when I feel like I might just have the capacity to do it myself. We'll see.
